    Hi @shashwat001 ,

    Could you try going to $HOME/.RapidMiner/extensions and see if you can find the .jar file for operator toolbox? I'm curious to see if removing this allows the software to launch, given the error message suggests that extension is causing an issue.

    Hi rjones,

    If i disable extension , I will be able to launch rapidminer. Moreover if I downgrade operator toolbox version to 2.17 it also works. But that's not good. Why it doesn't work with version 2.18 and gives error that it requires java of vrsion more than 11. I am not a very technical guy and don't understand everything what log say about. Please help me with permanent solution

    Hi @shashwat001,

    I will speak to the author of the extension. In the meantime, please either continue using 2.17 of Operator Toolbox, or upgrade to AI Studio 2024.1 and use 2.18 of Operator Toolbox.

    Hi there,

    RapidMiner 10 and following are running on Java11. That means that also new extensions are compiled against java11. I always thought that 9.10 also requieres java11. Today I learned that 9.10 is the last java8 version.

    We usually try to set the version dependecy of toolbox to the lowest possible version, so that many people can use it. It looks like we set it too low here.

    The work arounds for you are either to manually install an older version of toolbox or upgrade your studio to 10 or 2024.
