Plugins in Home-Diriectory

Hi all,

it would be nice to install plugins in a user's directory like ./RapidMiner5/plugins . The reason for this is that here we have RM installed on a server and only privileged users, e.g. root, are allowed to alter the installed programs. But for testing my plugins on a larger system than my computer, it is quite laborious to get it working on the server-installation. Furthermore, my development changes would affect other users although the plugin is not fully tested.
As far as I could check, this is not yet possible, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Kind regards,
Ben

    Hi,

you can specify the system property "rapidminer.init.plugins.location" in the preferences. You can specify only one directory here, and it will override the default.

    Best,
    Simon
