Lifecycle of RapidMiner

Hello,

when is the end of life (EOL) and end of support of the current  version (5) of RapidMiner?
I can't find such a list in the docu.

    Hi Fred,

    for the community version, the free support - for example here in the forum - directly ends with each new release and there is no guarantee that older versions will be further supported.

    Things are completely different for the Enterprise Edition of RapidMiner. Here we have the following steps:
    • Withdrawal from Marketing: 2 months before the avisioned date of the next major release
    • Last Customer Ship Date: 6 months after the next major release
    • End of Support: 24 months after the next major release
    Those dates can be changed (usually extended) but this will be announced in advance via the usual communication channels and we always try to find optimal migration plans for our customers.

    The next major release, RapidMiner 6, is planned for late summer 2011.
