Timeseries-Datamining - What techniques are possible?
Hi there,
I´m currently doing an evaluation which Datamining Techniques currently can be applied to timeseries data (for example with rapidminer).
What applications are you aware of? Or using yourself?
I think prediction (regression) is a quite common application... But what else?
Do you have experiences with clustering, Classification or Rule Learning?
Just wondering what your thoughts are... I appreciate every comment, link, article, book, whatever :-)
Best Regards,
Roman

prediction, clustering and classification of time series is supported in RapdiMiner. Also outlier detection and most probably many other operations are no problem.

Rapid Miner is probably the number one best free software which can do time series analysis.
Rapid miner uses the embedding framework which allows any learner (unsupervised or supervised) to be used for time series analysis.
