This might be more in line with a feature request, but here we go - With the proliferation of services like EditGrid, is it possible to have Rapid Miner access an Excel file that is at http:// ; as opposed to somewhere on your computer?

    Hi,

thanks for sending this in. Nice idea - I have put this to our todo list and move this topic into our feature request section.

    Cheers,

    Hello Ingo, Hello All,

If it were possible, could this idea be extended to any "file Input operator", for instance spss/arff/xrff files, as well as "doc/pdf/txt" files for TextInput ? Instead of downloading files and having heavy files' replications, it could catch the file URI, for file memory issues...

    Cheers,
      Jean-charles.
