Decision Trees - attribute selection

Hey all. I'm running a decision tree for predictive modeling on same data I have. For some reason, it's not using all the attributes given it, particularly one which I know from prior experience with other DT models is important. Any way to delve into what's causing this or what parameters I would need to change?
