Running RapidMiner for the first time

I had difficulties with my first installation of RM5.2 and uninstalled it.I installed it again and now RM5.2 doesn´t present the window to create a new

repository (fig. 2.1 in the RM 5.0 manual that I have).  I created a folder at C:\Users\Bennes\RapidMiner5 to try it as a Repository  and in there  I have:

MyRepository.properties, MyRepository.rmp and  a file I want to open. When I try to open the file I got  " Illegal entry type. Please select either a process

or a data entry " Does this mean that my RapidMiner5 is functioning as the new repository of fig. 1?  Be it yes or no, what do I do?

As I am new on Rapid Miner I am asking for help. My thanks in advance.

    Hi,

it seems as if you already have created a repository so you don't need to set up a new one.
Can you see the repository in RapidMiner's 'Repositories' View?

What kind of file do you want to open? Did you import it to RapidMiner first? As the error message states it is possible to open process or data entries only.

    Best,
    Nils
