standardized data sets

Hello!  I would like to find some standard data sets, with known measures of statistical correlation.  I would like such data sets for both regression and classification.  Does anyone know of any such standard data sets?
Thanks,
David

    Hi David,

in the data mining community, the UCI machine learning repository is one (or even the most) prominent repositories including many widely used and well studied data sets. Here is the url of the site listing the data sets:

    http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets.html

But as it is really prominent, you may have already known?! ;)

    Regards,
    Tobias
