Windows Service fails to start but apps runs fine
If I run the RA (C:\temp\RapidAnalytics\bin\run.bat) things work fine. I can log into the RA web service and things are ok.
If I try to start the Windows service (RapidAnalytics Server service), it will start, then stop and windows will put out the message:"The RapidAnalytics Server service on Local Computer started and then stopped."
The files, boot.log and server.log in C:\temp\RapidAnalytics\server\default\log, are zero bytes--no entries are made.
In C:\temp\RapidAnalytics\bin, the r.lock file is created and run.log gets created with the following two entries:
Starting RapidAnalytics Server [2013-04-16 08:57:53]
Calling C:\temp\RapidAnalytics\bin\run.conf.bat
There are no entries made in either the Application log or System log of the PC.
What troubleshooting steps do I make next?

this error is a bit strange, I had this happen to me once as well but the next day it was gone.. Does the problem persist after a reboot?
