"Rapid Miner crashes after installing and configuring R extension"

Hi,

I am trying to make the R extension work. Unfortunately, Rapid Miner crashes on startup.

I have set the system variables as follows:

C:\Users\stablum>echo %PATH%
...stuff stuff stuff...;C:\Program Files\R\R-3.0.0\bin\x64;... stuff stuff stuff...
C:\Users\stablum>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7
C:\Users\stablum>echo %R_HOME%
"C:\Program Files\R\R-3.0.0"
any ideas?

Moreover: is there a log file to understand what happened during the crash?

thanks!

    Hi,
which version of RapidMiner and R extension are you using?
The RapidMiner logfile can be found in %USER_FOLDER%/.RapidMiner5

The version of Rapid Miner is 5.3

R extension is also 5.3, while installed R is at version 3.0.0

    Hi,

we have not tested the R Extension with version 3.0 of R. If you want to use the R extension, we recommend you to install R 2.15.3

However, I have R 3.0.1 installed and RapidMiner works with it.

I don't remember having any problems with the update from R 2.X to 3.
