[Solved] Knn Nominal Distance measure type

Hello,
can anyone explain me how the nominal distance measure for k-NN classifier works?
I can not find any documentation.
Is it a string similarity metric?

    The Nominal Distance is 0 for equal strings and 1 for different strings. No magic :)
