unfortunately the only possibility to import png files into rapid miner is currently to convert the png files into some of the formats readable by rapid miner. For example csv files etc.
Another way arround would be to write (or to let write) your own input operator. At this time one of our users works on a plugin providing image input and preprocessing capabilities but I'm not fully aware of the status or the quality of the project. As I asked him yesterday, she stated, that it provides input of RGB PNG files but does support only greyscale preprocessing.
By the way: What do you mean exactly by time changes of image textures?
