CSV Text to number converstion

I am doing a k-means cluster on some csv data ( 3 columns) , I want to map text to number using  text to nominal operator , how it does not preserver the  row column format ,  any ideas how I can to clustering on text data.

    you might want to use the text mining extension and use Tokenize in Process Documents.
