"basic sentiment analysis"

Hi-I'm new to the forum and new to sentiment mining/analysis. I have downloaded the community edition of Rapid Miner but would like to know how to do some basic sentiment mining on some text examples that I have. I'm not trying to do anything sophisticated at this point-I just want to get an idea of how well automated sentiment mining works. I have some examples of posts from an on-line forum and want to see if the general tone in the posts changes over time. Can anyone provide just some basic instructions for doing this or point me in the direction of relevant guidelines that are online?

                    Thanks

    Hi,
have you already downloaded the text plugin? It is necessary for this field of application and provides some examples explaining text mining.

    Greetings,
