Need help getting RM 64 bit to work

Hi folks,

I have a desktop I am trying to set up with RM 64 bit.

The machine is running 64 bit Windows 7.
-JRE 64 bit downloaded and installed.
-RM 64 bit downloaded and installed.

Despite my best efforts , when I run RM it runs as Rapidminer.exe*32  ( a 32 bit process).

Any thoughts that might help me troubleshoot this problem?

    Hi,

don't be fooled by that. The .exe is merely a wrapper which in turn starts the 64-bit Java. The .exe will always say *32 but that does not matter.
You don't need to install Java manually, btw. The Windows version of Studio comes with its own Java package in a bundle.
You can check by clicking "Help" -> "About RapidMiner Studio..." in the top menu bar to see which version you are really using. (From Studio 6.4 onwards)

    Regards,
    Marco

I am running 5.3 community edition. Where would I see the version info in that?
