rapid miner - import csv file ( just 3.2 Gb ) taking more than 40 mins and I dont knw the progress

Not sure if this is normal.

May be I will wait for another 20 mins and then re-try

    Hi,

     

    with the newest RM Version you can see the progress on the Read CSV operator as shown in the screen below.

    If an import takes longer than you expect, you might want to check how much memory you allowed to use RapidMiner...If you have multiple large imports in one process, checking out the Jackhammer Extension might be worthwile, as it can swap data on disk once it is loaded.
