Interested in how valuable you all find this "new" service from Google?

yes just saw this yesterday. Very interesting indeed. I know that our "data search" guy, @ey, is also checking it out. I'd be very interested in what he thinks, and also pros/cons vs his data search extension.

Hi @sgenzer,
I am looking into the new Dataset search service by Google and assessing options to integrate it to our Google Table Search operator. This operator can already be used to search for data table containing websites that are indexed by Google. You simply search the index by giving keywords. The output is a list of URLs which you can input to the Read HTML Tables operator which attempts to extract the data tables directly as ExampleSet. So, we already have a 2 operator solution for dataset discovery and automatic extraction and we will see how best we can harness this additional source as well.
Best Regards,
Edwin
that is a freaking GREAT idea, @ey! Keep us posted!
