Hi Guys, i am used Rapid Miner before for text mining but im new with image processing and classification using Rapidminer. is there any tutorial that explains the process of doing that? i will be grateful.

with my best regards
Happy new year

    As far as I know, there is no classification in RapidMiner for image processing till now.

    hi @nizar_ahmed and @lambamanika07 - so that is basically correct. There is an old image mining extension on the marketplace but to be honest it is very old and not stable. The RapidMiner Research team are putting all their efforts into the new Deep Learning extension right now; image analysis is obviously one of its best use cases.

    Have you tried just using an external API to do the image processing and classification, and then doing the modeling in RapidMiner? That would be my first line of attack.

    Hallo Scott,
    Are you talking about the IMMI extension?

    @nizar_ahmed

    If you are comfortable with deep learning, you can use CNN for classification. You can use it using "Deep Learning Extension". There are some samples once you download this extension. If you want to use keras, there is an example give by @jpuente in the below thread using keras, but using keras extension is a bit complicated as its not stable.

    Keras with CNN example: (tensorflow)

    Deep Learning extension: (dl4j)

    @Maerkli so yes the IMMI is very unstable.
