Anomaly detection

Hi. I’m new to RapidMiner and started using it. I would like to seek for advice on what suitable data mining technique that can be used in the energy time series data for anomaly detection.  The anomaly is based on abnormal and irregularities energy consumption (kWh) behavior.

Take a look at the Anomaly Detection extension from the marketplace (which is free).  There are a large number of available techniques in that extension.  I would probably start with some of the simpler ones like the histogram based outlier score or the local outlier factor and see what that gives you.
