Ubuntu Java 8 support
Hi, as far as I know Oracle disabled Java 8 access for personal use etc. No ppa. How about OpenJDK? Other ideas?

I've been always using OpenJDK for RapidMiner on Linux. It works flawlessly. You should also install the openjfx package on Ubuntu so that everything works.

Notice that most of the things that OpenJDK isn't compatible with Oracle Java 8 are desktop integrations: Proxy settings and clicking on repositories to open these with the native browser. I remember that a few months ago we were discussing this. For the rest, there shouldn't be a problem.
