    Hello @Hamidah,

    You can use read document operator in "Text Processing" Toolbox to read pdf files. You need to install this from the marketplace in rapidminer (Extensions --> Market Place).

    Here is a link related to the similar discussion.

    Hope this helps

    Hi @Hamidah,

    Have you tried Text Processing extension from RapidMiner maketplace?

    Using "Read document" you can extract the text from a pdf file.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><process version="9.3.001">
      <context>
        <input/>
        <output/>
        <macros/>
      </context>
      <operator activated="true" class="process" compatibility="9.3.001" expanded="true" name="Process">
        <parameter key="logverbosity" value="init"/>
        <parameter key="random_seed" value="2001"/>
        <parameter key="send_mail" value="never"/>
        <parameter key="notification_email" value="yhuang@rapidminer.com"/>
        <parameter key="process_duration_for_mail" value="1"/>
        <parameter key="encoding" value="SYSTEM"/>
        <process expanded="true">
          <operator activated="true" class="open_file" compatibility="9.3.001" expanded="true" height="68" name="Open File" width="90" x="112" y="34">
