Errors after installing 9.6.0

The installation is on Windows Server 2016 with latest updates.
RaapidMiner studio is 9.6.0
On startup getting the following errors:
WARNING: Async: Hardware accelerated browser setup test failed, HTML5 components may not be available!

The program starts, but the busy wheel is always on, there seems to be a (model ?) dialog open, but it is not visible.
We cannot open most of the folders.
