RapidMiner version 9.10 not loading after update
I updated my RapidMiner to version 9.10. After the update, I restarted it and it got stuck with "Initializing XML Serialization". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again but I end up with the same issue. I wonder how I can make RapidMiner work again? Hope you can help me with this issue. Thank you.

jpuente Employee-RapidMiner, Member Posts: 53 RM Product ManagementHi @Wine, sorry to hear that. We released 9.10.6 this week and, although it passed our tests, it looks like some users are having issues like yours. We're working on it. Could you please share logs or screenshots with us to see exactly your problem? Thanks.

jpuente Employee-RapidMiner, Member Posts: 53 RM Product ManagementHi. We're working on it right now, but any additional information would be helpful. Which OS are you running on? Also, if you could post the rapidminer-studio.log, it would be great. In windows, it's in \Users\[your user]\.RapidMiner
As a potential workaround, at the bottom of the downloads page, there's a link to download older versions (9.9 in this case). Maybe that helps for now.1 -

In the meanwhile we stopped the upgrade for studios which are not yet updated. We also changed the download on my.rapidminer.com to point to 9.10.1. If you encounter issues you can just download the old version there. You can also just download the "Linux" version. It has a .bat file which you can use on Windows.BR,Martin

Thanks for your immediate response. I am panicking right now as I have a presentation about RapidMiner with my class on Monday :-(. Hope you can help me. This is what appears on my desktop. I cannot move forward.
Thanks so much,
Wine
I am using Windows 11. Thanks so much for helping me with this one. jpuente, thanks for the workaround. Will do that as a last resort. atimm, the previous version I used is 9.9. I found the rapidminer-studio.log. Here it is:
I reverted back to version 9.9003. I had some additional issues after reverting but was able to fix them. Hope to use 9.10 soon. Thank you.
Best,
Wine
I wonder if I can already update to 9.10? or should I wait for 9.11? You guys are really helpful. Thank you.
Warm greetings from the Philippines,
Wine
In my case, loading stops not always at Wine's point "Initializing XML Serialization".
Some other times, startup get locked at "Loading History" or "Workspace Inicialization".
No "Disable Extensions" option worked.
I wonder what is your OS? Also, I haven't tried the "Disabled Extensions" option yet. How do you do that? Thanks.
Best,
Wine
Sorry I'm a bit late.
Here is my OS:
Edición Windows 10 Enterprise
"Disable Extensions" is an option that appears (in my case) every time RM starts up when it is preceded by an crash or abnormal shutdown (via Task Adm).
The other option is "Normal Startup".
If this option doesn't show up for you, it is probably because you don't have installed extensions (¿?).
Thanks
9.10.07 is finally working for me as well.
I had the funny issue, that I wanted to upgrade directly from 9.10.1 to 9.10.7 and somehow the marketplace installed 9.10.6 first and then I had all the issues again until I realized I am back at the bad built.
I could start 9.10.06 in the safe mode however and then I found the new version on the marketplace. It is working now, thank you. But maybe someone else might run into the same upgrade difficulties. You might want to remove the bad built altogether.
Kind regards
When Rapidminer fails to start or you cancel the task while starting up, you will get a notice that something was interrupted. Here you will have the option to disable all extentions. I wonder if you have a different option to do the same.
