Trouble with k-means Clustering in Customer Segmentation Project Using RapidMiner - Need Advice

Mia_SmithMia_Smith Member Posts: 6 Contributor II

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on a project involving customer segmentation using RapidMiner, and I've run into a bit of a roadblock. When trying to implement k-means clustering with my dataset, I'm experiencing some unexpected results in the clusters. I've checked the data preprocessing steps, but can't seem to pinpoint the issue. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem or have any advice on troubleshooting this?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Mia_Smith, could you possibly expand on your problem a little and how the results are unexpected? From a generic perspective, one thing I would do is check your distance measures to see if that may be the cause.
