Reading the info on the training course on Text mining and sentiment analysis....

Does rapid miner have the ability to tag documents as being positive or negative? Or does it leverage another tool?

Thanks!

    Hi,

sure it has. Actually, this type of text classification is the base for the sentiment analysis services we provide.

    Hey Ingo,

The Community version or one of the paid add-ons?

    Hi,

of course the text mining capabilities of RapidMiner are also part of the Community Edition. For the differences between the RapidMiner Community Edition and the Enterprise Edition you can check the comparison table on

    http://rapid-i.com/content/view/181/190/

In general, we recommend the Enterprise Edition for all productive settings. The Community Edition, however, is already great for just trying out some things before the final analysis processes are engineered and deployed which usually need much more efforts in terms of analysis process engineering and integration into existing IT infrastructures.

The service offers of Rapid-I include the two products RapidDoc and RapidSentilyzer which often are the most appropriate solution for sentiment analysis and in general text mining tasks since those services are setup and hosted by the data analysis experts of Rapid-I and there is no integration effort at all. More information about RapidDoc can be found at

    and about RapidSentilyzer at

    Cheers,
    Ingo
