Number of iterations in k-Means

Hello everyone! I've got another question with regards to k-Means algorithm.

Is there a reason behind RapidMiner's default value of the number of iterations in the k-Means algorithms, which is 10?

    Hi,
yes, there are three reasons for this default:
    1. The number is not too small to get reasonable results.
    2. The number is not that big that you will have to wait forever.
    3. It's a nice number. By chance I have the exactly same number of fingers! :)

    Greetings,
