I'm a newbie of RapidMiner and I don't know how it's very slow to start the program. It take 30 seconds to start the application.
Someone can help me?
Thank you

Not with that amount of information ... maybe your machine is too slow / weak.

I think it would be helpful for the rapidminer guys if you could post the complete stats of your machine, i.e. os, cpu, ram etc...

Here are stats of my machine:
Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2 32 bit
3 GB RAM, CPU Pentium Dual Core T3200 2 GHz

    It isn't an obsolete PC...

    Ok.

My home machine is an amd athlon 64, 2*2Ghz, 2 GB Ram on windows xp sp3. With basic programs running and eclipse open, I have around 1500 GB of Ram left.
The first start took around 40 seconds, the following ones only 5seconds each.

so ...  I guess you have to live with that startup time. Beside: is this really a problem ? ;)

thank you for help me  steffen. This isn't really a problem, but I think that it was an irregular running of RapidMiner.
