"Rapid miner on linux not starting"

I have unzipped the rapidminer folder.

set chmod +x the folder.

running .. java -jar lib/rapidminer.jar

which is giving me a  Segmentation fualt error.

I dont know how to run the scripts files on linux. I dont have Ant.

Any help on this!!  :(

    Hi,
    which Java runtime enviroment are you using? There might be problems with the open jdk.

    Another important issue is the memory. By default Java assigns each program 64 mb, which is simply far to small for RapidMiner. Please add more memory or use the start scripts delivered with RapidMiner in the scripts directory.
